Carolyn J. Huffman graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelors degree in Education in 1979. In 1981, after teaching Learning Disabled Junior High students for two years, she completed a Masters degree in Learning Disabilities at Valdosta State College in Georgia. She then taught for another two years in Georgia and two in Florida at a senior high school. In 1983, she completed her degree in massage therapy, at the New School of Massage in Temple Terrace, Florida, and established her practice in South Tampa.
After receiving acupuncture and Chinese medicine for a lower back problem, Ms. Huffman was impressed by its positive pain relieving effects and the overall feeling of wellbeing it created. Thus, to broaden her existing practice and knowledge in massage and health, she studied Chinese Medicine at the Florida Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in St. Petersburg. She completed her degree in 1991 after a 3 year stint, and established her practice in South Tampa.
